The 2025 Annual Meeting of the International Network of Analytical Sociologists will take place June 5–6 2025 at Columbia University, New York City.
Research in the analytical sociology tradition uses different modes of inquiry to identify the micro-level mechanisms that underlie macro-level phenomena. We welcome submissions using any method (e.g., quantitative, qualitative, experimental, simulation-based) that allows for the study of social mechanisms and the social dynamics they give rise to. We especially encourage applications that examine, with exciting new methods and data, how social phenomena emerge from large groups of interacting individuals.
The organizers of the 17th INAS conference are James Chu and Gerard Torrats-Espinosa with support from the Interdisciplinary Center for Innovative Theory and Empirics (INCITE) and the Columbia University Sociology Department.
The conference will again feature the Women's Forum for Analytical Sociology. The event will take place in the afternoon of June 4. More information will follow, but for questions you can get in touch with the organizers Amalia Alvarez Benjumea, Selcan Mutgan, and Eva Vriens at
